We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed the minute you walk into our studio. The below should help you be prepared for your special time and will also help you focus on your yoga experience.

What Should I Wear?

Because you will be moving and stretching you will want to wear light comfortable clothing that allows you to move with your body. If you choose to wear loose clothing, please keep in mind you don't want to feel uncomfortable in your clothing, which could restrain you from certain moves.

Wear comfortable shoes - you will want to take your shoes off during class, so wear something easy to step out of and step into. Yoga is to be experienced in your bare feet.

What Should I Bring?

Bottled Water

Yoga Mat - if you do not have a yoga mat - we can provide you with one.


What if I Have a Health Condition?

You should always practice safely and you are advised to consult with your doctor before doing any exercise.

What Can I Expect?

Your first class will challenge you, it does everyone. Always push yourself to do your best, but only you know what your body can handle. Listen to your inner thoughts.

I'm a First-Timer! Congratulations!

You will find that yoga is for everyone - it is challenging your body to be at it's very best. Come with an open mind - everyone joins yoga for their own journey. If you are coming to strengthen your mind, muscle and core - you will accomplish this if you commit to a consistent schedule.

Hydration is important to your body. You will want to bring water with you to have during your class.

You should try not to eat at least 2 hours prior to your yoga class.

If you are looking to lose weight and tone your body - yoga offers this and your instructor will guide you with compassion. You will find that committing yourself to the yoga practice you will lose weight, but it is also combined with healthy eating.
